The new Darkrai from Mega Shine joins Mega Venusaur ex, one of the strongest Megas in the game, to create absolute chaos. Mega Venusaur not only deals 120 DMG, but also poisons the target and puts it to sleep. So, this adds a loss of 10 HP (poison) and 20 HP (sleep), as well as another 20 HP from the asleep Pokémon, thanks to Darkrai's ability. All this adds up to a whopping 150 DMG. Even if you start with Darkrai, Ivysaur's Energy ramping perks make it self-sufficient while Quick-Grow Extract summons the required Grass evolutions. Lilligant helps provide an extra 20 HP, and Heavy Helmet lowers incoming damage by 20, making Mega Venusaur ex very bulky. On top of all this, Erika and Lucky Ice Pop maintain health.

1The featured 20-card list contains 9 Pokémon cards and 11 Trainer cards, counting duplicate copies.
Before adapting this list, check each Pokémon’s evolution and attack requirements, retreat costs and the roles of the Trainer cards. A replacement should support the same opening and attack plan, rather than merely share an Energy type.
